Share your learning, celebrate improvement and inspire others

9-13 November 2026

Across acute and ambulance services, teams are delivering improvements every day that make a real difference for patients, staff and the wider health and care system. Yet many of these successes, insights and lessons remain local.

In response, we're hosting Acute and Ambulance Appreciation Week, a new national celebration taking place from 9–13 November. Led by the NHS Alliance in partnership with the Q Community, the week will shine a spotlight on the innovation and improvement happening across our services.

Throughout the week, we're hosting five free webinars showcasing practical learning from across acute and ambulance services. Discover how services are redesigning pathways, improving patient flow and developing new approaches while working under sustained pressure. Each session offers valuable ideas, shared learning and an opportunity to recognise the people driving positive change:

  1. The Elective Productivity Challenge: Newcastle Spotlight | Monday 9 November, 10.30 – 11.15am 

  2. Appreciating Ambulance Achievements | Monday 9 November, 12.30 – 2.00pm 

  3. Appreciating Elective Care Excellence | Tuesday 10 November, 12.30 – 2.00pm 

  4. Appreciating Urgent and Emergency Care Successes | Wednesday 11 November, 12pm – 1.30pm 

  5. The Power of Appreciation in Healthcare | Thursday 12 November, 11.00am–12.30pm 

Whether you work in acute care, ambulance services, an integrated care system or the wider health and care sector, choose the sessions most relevant to you and join colleagues from across the NHS to celebrate success and take away practical ideas.
