Association of Groups
Launched in 2017, and now hosted by The NHS Alliance, the Association of NHS Groups (AoG) is a learning network for NHS provider groups, who have created new organisational models and are looking to reliably implement standardisation of best practice at scale, across multiple points of delivery.
The AoG has three main purposes:
- Sharing learning, knowledge, and best practice between its members.
- Influencing national policy through strategic engagement, helping national decision makers to understand the benefits of standardisation at scale coupled with reliable local implementation.
- The spread of innovation and best practice externally, both from the association out to the wider health and care system, but also from the wider sector and beyond, back to the association members.
The AoG is chaired by Shane De Garis, chief executive for the Royal Free Group and advised by Sir David Dalton, experienced former NHS provider trust chief executive.
