This slide deck is designed to help explain the pressures on mental health services, raise awareness of key challenges, and promote a balanced understanding of the issues facing your services.
The pack presents mental health and mental health services to a lay audience - providing national data on demand, activity and resourcing; evidence on public attitudes; context on the drivers of rising demand and severe mental illness; and an overview of how care is adapting to meet future needs. It ends with practical actions stakeholders can take to support your services.
There is also a section in the pack which can be adapted to local circumstances, with space to add your own data, examples of innovation and other priorities.
