From rhetoric to reality: delivering an effective neighbourhood health service
Four strategic actions
Neighbourhood working is both a mindset and a method: delivering care in new places, designing it differently and doing so in partnership with residents and communities. It centres on trust, relationships and community insight.
Across the community of practice, four strategic actions consistently emerged as essential for turning the rhetoric of neighbourhood health into reality:
- Organise care around residents, not organisational boundaries
- Co-design with communities and the VCSE sector as equal partners
- Use technology and data as an enabler
- Scale what works through clear leadership and shared learning
