Accelerator Learning: Impact of Multi-morbidity and the Prevention Accelerators

Join the team behind the Health and Growth Accelerators as we explore some of the latest research from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), as well as the work underway as part of the recently announced Prevention Accelerators. 

The ONS research will cover the impact of having multiple cardiometabolic conditions (combinations of chronic kidney disease (CKD), cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes) on earnings and employment, and whether the ordering of the onset of these conditions affected on labour market outcomes differently.

We'll also learn more about the Prevention Accelerators and how they are working to reach those most at risk within the community by bringing together ICBs, Strategic Authorities and local partners. We will discuss some of the innovative, community-led approaches being tested to focus interventions across different regions. 

We will be joined by Cameron Razieh, researcher at the University of Leicester and ONS, and Farha Quadri from the DHSC and NHS England Joint Strategy Team.
