Training event booking terms and conditions
Explore the terms and conditions that apply to any bookings you make through this site for ‘Training’ events.
Information about us
Your booking is made with The NHS Alliance (Services) Company Limited, whose registered office is 2nd Floor, 18 Smith Square Westminster, London, SW1P 3HZ (company no. 05252407) (the “Organisers”) for delegates to register and book places to attend your selected event (the “Event”).
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making a booking.
Terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions (together with the documents referred to in them) will apply to any bookings you make through this site for ‘Training’ Events.
By making a booking you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and that you agree to comply with them.

1. Registration and bookings
1.1 When registering for the Training Event, the party making the booking will be asked to provide information about the delegate(s) attending the Training Event.
1.2 Rates and packages available to delegates will be determined based on the information provided, including but not limited to the organisation’s membership status.
1.3 To be eligible for any member rates (discounted or otherwise) organisations must be live members of The NHS Alliance at the time of booking and at the time of the Training Event. If your organisation’s membership status changes prior to the Training Event your booking may be updated to the relevant non-member rate and a new/additional invoice will be issued to you.
1.4 All delegates must confirm their name, job title and organisation at the time of booking or, where this is not possible, no later than two weeks prior to the Training Event if they are not provided at the time of booking.
1.5 Where capacity is limited, priority may be given to NHS Alliance members.
1.6 Joining instructions will be sent two weeks before the Training Event.
1.7 Programme details are correct at time of publication. We reserve the right to make changes where necessary.
2 Cancellation
2.1 For any cancellations made up to 2 weeks prior to the date of the Training Event, no cancellation fee will apply, or you shall be entitled to a full refund of the booking fee (where paid in advance).
2.2 If you provide less than 2 weeks notice of cancellation prior to the date of the Training Event, you will be charged the full booking fee.
2.3 If you provide less than 2 weeks notice of cancellation prior to the date of the Training Event but you are able to source a suitable substitute candidate from the same organisation to attend the Training Event in your place, there will be no additional charge on top of the full booking fee.
2.4 If you do not attend the Training Event and have not provided prior notice, you will be charged the full booking fee.
2.5 All cancellations must be submitted in writing and sent to board.development@thenhsalliance.org
3 Payment
3.1 Payment can be made by invoice or debit and credit card.
3.2 If you wish to pay by credit or debit card, you can do so at the time of booking. If you decide your preferred method of payment is credit or debit card after booking, please contact board.development@thenhsalliance.org Please note: we do not accept American Express, but all other debit, credit and purchasing cards are accepted.
3.3 If paying by invoice, please ensure that you include a valid purchase order number at booking. Failure to provide a valid purchase order number can delay your invoice from being processed. Please note that we will send remainders if this information is not provided at booking.
3.4 All invoices must be paid within 30 days of the date of invoice.
3.5 Rates and packages available to delegates will be determined based on the information provided, including but not limited to the organisation’s membership status. We reserve the right to change the rate that delegates are booked onto if required.
4 Multi-day training programmes
4.1 Multi-day training programmes refer to Training Events that take place over multiple days.
4.2 The stated fee covers attendance at all dates and services that form part of the Multi-day training programme.
4.3 The same delegate is expected to attend all dates that make up the Multi-day training programme. A place may not be split between multiple delegates unless The NHS Alliance states or agrees otherwise in writing.
4.4 No partial refund will be issued if a delegate is unable to attend one or more aspect of the Multi-day programme.
4.5 For cancellation purposes, a Multi-day training programme begins on the first date that the programme commences. All cancellation provisions (section 2) and payment provisions (section 3) apply.
5 Data protection
5.1 Registration information may include your name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, country, dietary requirements and accessibility or other Event requirements.
5.2 Where the delegate does not directly book a place on a Training Event themselves, the booker booking on their behalf must ensure that they have authority to provide delegate information. Registration information may include a delegate’s name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, country, dietary requirements and accessibility or other Event requirements.
5.3 Registration information will be used to administer the booking, facilitate payment, provide joining and logistical information, communicate programme changes and support delivery and evaluation of the Training Event.
5.4 Relevant dietary, accessibility and other requirements may be shared with the Event venue, caterers or delivery partners where necessary to support your attendance at the Training Event.
5.5 Subject to your stated preference during booking, the delegate list may include name, job title, organisation and email address and may be shared with other attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, facilitators and partner organisations. Please indicate at the time of booking if you would like to opt out of including your personal details on the delegate list.
5.6 The NHS Alliance may contact you about Training Event administration and relevant future services or events. Delegates may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
5.7 Further information about the data controller, legal bases for processing, retention periods, data processors, individual rights and how to complain is set out in The NHS Alliance privacy notice. Where there is any inconsistency, the privacy notice will take precedence in relation to personal data processing.
6 Copyright
6.1 Our training materials and presentations are for personal reference only and are not to be distributed more widely without consent. Any infringement will be a breach of copyright.
7 Liability
7.1 Subject to the paragraph below, the Organisers do not accept liability for any error or omission and excludes all liability for any action you may take or loss or injury you may suffer (whether direct or indirect, or any indirect, consequential or special loss) howsoever arising for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the Training Event or in any material provided to delegates or as a result of you relying on the same.
7.2 We do not attempt to exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by the Organiser’s own negligence or any other liability the exclusion and restriction that cannot be excluded or restricted by English law.
8 Photography and filming
8.1 There may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the Training Event which may be used at a later date for promotional and other uses. Delegates who do not want their photograph to be taken or used in this way should notify a member of staff or the photographer onsite.
8.2 Sessions at Training Events may be recorded and made available to view online post event. Where recording is planned, delegates will be informed where reasonably practical.
9 Insurance
9.1 It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the Training Event. The NHS Alliance cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property.
10 General
10.1 The Organisers reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions. We will do this by altering these Terms and Conditions on the site and this alteration will then be of immediate effect.
10.2 These Terms and Conditions, their subject matter and formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10.3 Each and every provision of these Terms and Conditions is separate and severable. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the validity and enforceability of the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
